According to many verses and narratives, Shi'ite Imams are the only ones after God and the Prophet who have complete knowledge of the teachings of Quran, its meaning and the purposes of its verses. Considering human’s needs, the Imams have interpreted and explained the verses of Quran. Regarding the significance and special place of typology of narrations in the exegesis of the Quran on the one hand, and a multitude of other Ahl al-Bayt ’s interpretive narrations on the other, in this paper, since the kinds of the hadiths related from Imam Hasan have not been known so far, we study only the interpretive narrations of this Imam. Although, compared to other Imams, the interpretive narrations of Imam Hasan are scare, such few accounts are good means to find out the attitude of the Imam towards the exegesis of the Quran. Accordingly, the most important types of the interpretive narrations of Imam Hasan are as follows: mentioning the occasions of revelation, expressing the meanings of vocabularies, expressing the inner meanings of the verses, explaining the verses by citing the examples, explaining the verses of commandments, mentioning the details of the stories in the Quran, relying on the verses, acting according to the verse by regarding its contents, the science of the Quranic recitation, the virtues and features of readingsurahs and verses. The methodology of Imam Hassan in the exegesisof the Quran is interpreting it according to the tradition, relying on the rules of Arabic language. Imam Hasan'sfoundations in the exegesis of Quran isthe Quranic guidance and preservation of it from distortion.
