Journal of Hadith Studies (JHS) is an academic and peer-reviewed journal published twice a year at University of Kashan. Although it is published in Persian language, manuscripts written in English, Arabic and other international languages are welcome. The Journal is concerned with the discussion and analysis of hadith studies. The main areas of interests are as follows: hadiths studies concerning both early and modern periods; essays on the history, methodology and literature of hadith; modern debates about the authenticity of hadith literature, and traditional and modern approaches to the related issues; the contribution and effects of modern methodologies to hadith studies. JHS, in addition to previously unpublished articles, also publishes translations, review articles, interviews, book reviews, manuscript assessments, symposium and conference reviews, obituaries and reports about dissertations, recently published books, and other academic activities related to hadith.
JHS is an Open Access Journal. Open Access is a publishing model that provides immediate access to the full text of papers without requiring a subscription to the journal. The publication costs for non-Iranian authors of JHS are covered by the University of Kashan.
