This study validates eight prophetic narrations (Hadiths) concerning the Prophet Muhammad’s (PBUH) pride in the numerical superiority of the Islamic Ummah on the Day of Resurrection, while examining their thematic implications for childbearing and population growth from an Islamic perspective. The significance of this research lies in its potential to offer a new framework for explaining the desirability of increased childbearing and the proper upbringing of the next generation within Islamic society. Utilizing a library-based data collection method and a descriptive-analytical approach, the findings indicate that half of these narrations possess valid chains of transmission (Sanad), while the authenticity of the remaining half can be reasonably inferred through corroborating evidence. According to the content of these Hadiths, alongside related Quranic and traditional evidence, marriage, prolific childbearing, and the virtuous upbringing of children are highly desirable in Islam. The Islamic Ummah’s superiority in both quantity and quality over other nations on the Day of Judgment—and the Prophet’s pride therein—necessitates the promotion of childbearing among Muslim families and population growth within the Islamic community.
