The character of the narrators of hadiths is one of the most challenging issues in the science of Rijal. One of the most challenging figures about whom Sunni and Shiite Rijalians have expressed different opinions is Amr ibn Abdullah Abu Ishaq Suba'i Hamadani. His authentication or weakening is of great importance in adhering to the narrations transmitted from him. The present article seeks to analyze the Hamadani sect and his Rijalian character. Considering the narrations of the owners of Sahih Seth from him, Sunni Rijalians have criticized and modified his character and all unanimously considered Abu Ishaq Hamadani to be a Shiite narrator, and some have taken fanatical positions against him. However, Shiite Rijalians have disagreed about Hamadani. Some have introduced him as Sunni and weak, others as Sunni and trustworthy, and still others have introduced Abu Ishaq as Shiite and trustworthy. The following article, using a descriptive-analytical method and collecting data using a library and software method, after a comparative study of the opinions of the scholars of both sects and investigating the points of commonality and difference between the two views, concludes that the reason for Hamadani's weakening by Sunnis is his Shiiteness. There are also conflicting opinions among Shiite scholars that can be resolved by two approaches: citing external and internal sources.Allama Majlisi, Sharaf al-Din, Shubayri, Subhani, Milani, and others consider Abu Ishaq to be Shiite and trustworthy. In addition, by analyzing the textual material of Hamadani, the assumption that he was a Sunni is very unlikely
