The Quranic exegesis, Al-Dorr Al-Manthur written by Suyuti is one of the Sunni narrative exegeses that expresses narrations related to the verses without any comment. Suyuti has mentioned many narrations from the Prophet, the companions, followers, and their followers. He also mentions some narrations from Ali and other infallible Imams. Israelites and fabricated narrations in this exegesis, which are attributed to infallible Imams, cause this study to examine and criticize jurisprudential narrations related from Imam Ali. This article has sought to separate genuine narrations from weak ones. Accordingly, some instances of doubtful narrations which are criticized in this study are as follows: saying "amen" after reciting the Surah Al-Hamd (= the Opening) in the prayer, the meaning of a “qara” in the verse 228 of Surah Al-Baghara, conditions of third divorce, prohibition of the temporary marriage, judgment of marrying mother-in-law and stepdaughter, prohibition of marrying two slave sisters, and washing feet in ritual ablution.
