Sunnah as the most extensive source of religious knowledge is accessible through sound (Sahih) Hadiths. Sound (Sahih) Hadith, in the term of the later Hadith Scholar, is a narration that is connected to infallible Imam (pbuh) through righteous and Shite narrators. Considering that the early Hadith scholars did not provide a clear definition of the concept of sound (Sahih) Hadith, it is necessary to obtain their definition by referring to their works. Some have claimed that, according to the scholars, the sound (Sahih) Hadiths is a narration that they had confidence in its transmission from the infallible Imam (pbuh). The findings of this research which is organized in a descriptive-analytical method show that, according to the early Hadith scholar, the sound narration was a narration accompanied by something that required trust, but there is no indication that early hadith scholars had confidence or knowledge about its issuance from the infallible Imam (pbuh). It seems that what has caused a misunderstanding is the confusion between the proofs of issuance, the proofs of the soundness of the content, and the preference proofs. The proofs of the soundness of the content and the proofs of preference, are unable to prove the issue from the infallible Imam (pbuh); The evidence mentioned by Sheikh Baha'i, although they can provide certainty regarding the transmission of the narration from the infallible Imam (pbuh), but they are not found in the works of the earlier scholars.
