The study of Islamic political thought proves that since the third century, with the dual problem of the caliph and the sultan, "Taghllob theory" was formed and theorized as a source for the political legitimacy of Islamic rulers. This theory, which is based on the phrase " The right to be defeated", gradually took root in the minds of Muslims to a point where the majority of Islamic thinkers accepted it, and even in narrative texts, many hadiths were narrated in support of this view. However, these narrations and the principle of this view are in conflict with the text of Quran and narrations from the same books. The present study, with a descriptive analytical method and a critical perspective, first deals with the extraction of these hadiths from Sunni books, especially Sahih Bukhari and Muslim, then examines the view of Qur'an in this context and some conflicting narrations from these books in the criticism of the narrations that support the Taghllob theory. Despite the existing conflicts and the clear text of the verses and hadiths, the Sahih commentators, by adhering to the consensus, have considered it haram to go against the ruler even if he is wicked and cruel.
