The visit of the heir is one of the authentic pilgrimages, and there are questions among researchers regarding its validity in terms of sources, documents, and also the diversity of the text, and the study of each of them requires new research and study. The research method in the aforementioned issue is library and historical-rational analysis.
The studies conducted show that the visit of the heir to Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) is one of the authentic pilgrimages that has been narrated from Imam Sadiq (peace be upon him) by great Shiite scholars and hadith scholars in previous centuries, such as Ibn Qoluyah, Sheikh Mufid, Sheikh Tusi, etc. in authentic sources and by authentic narrators, and its original text is close to each other and identical in all the primary sources and enjoys spiritual fame and frequency, with a slight change in the final phrases, which is also common in historical narrations. The text of the Ziyarat Waris has come down from the infallible Imam (a.s.) and is a reliable and rich text that addresses the holy figure of Abu Abdullah al-Hussein (a.s.) as the "heir" of Prophet Adam (a.s.), Prophet Noah (a.s.), Prophet Abraham (a.s.), Prophet Moses (a.s.), Prophet Jesus (a.s.), Prophet Muhammad (pbuh), and Prophet Ali (a.s.) in continuing the line of jihad between truth and falsehood.
