One of the events that have been cited in some historical sources and traditional collections since the late life of the Prophet (peace be upon him) is the process of seeking the punishment of an old man named 'Ukkashah from the Prophet. Against these traditions, in response to the Prophet's (pbuh) request for the right or punishment of one who has a right to the Prophet, 'Ukkashah claimed that one day the Prophet intended to lash the camel, and inadvertently hit his body, and Call for punishment. In the end, of course, by kissing the body of the Prophet, He passed away. This tradition is rejected by both Isnad and matn criticism. In its Isnad, there are two transmitters who have been widely regarded as liars in the Rejali books. From the point of view of its matn, he also opposes the verses concerning the infallibility and purity of the prophets and theological arguments for the necessity of prophetic infallibility. In addition, the great Shiite scholars have not quoted it, and only Sheikh Sadūq has brought it to Amālī. Difference in quotation is also one of the indications of forgery. The present article seeks to investigate the authenticity and validity of this event, and is responsible for answering the question of what this story has to do with the subject of oversights of the Prophet (Sahw al-Nabī) and Tark aulā.
