The commentary of Imam Hasan 'Askarī (as) is controversial in various aspects such as “date of compiling”, "attribution to the author", "its sanads" and most importantly, "it’s content", that has been criticized by researchers. Accordingly, it is necessary to examine it in various dimensions, especially its suspicious attribution to Imam Hasan 'Askarī (as), i.e. its Isnad; Then, the following questions will be answered: How are all of its sanads? Are the multiple sanads the same? What is the ratio of Isnad to the originality of the attribution? This research studies and examines its Isnad based on a library method through printed sources and manuscripts in order to make the status of the entire commentary’s sanads accessible and analyzable for researchers. Analysis of the several categories of the commentary’s sanads proves that the name of “Hasan ibn Ali” in 'Askarī's commentary and the traditions narrated from him is Nāṣir Aṭrūsh. That is, the sanads of this commentary have been changed over the centuries and at different stages of scribing and transmitting; So that they have been changed from a Zaidi religious-historical figure, i.e. Hasan ibn Ali 'Askarī Aṭrūsh, to a religious Imami figure, i.e. the Shiite 11th Imam (as). As a result, the current book of 'Askarī Tafsir belongs to Nāṣir Kabīr Aṭrūsh.
