The hadiths of the Imams (as) are among the great epistemological and guiding in explaining and interpreting the divine verses. One of these valuable hadiths is from Imam Reza (peace on him): "رَحِمَ اللَّهُ عَبْداً أَحْیا أَمْرَنَا", Which is mentioned in Uyūn Akhbār al-Riḍā wa Ma'ānī al-Akhbār by Sheykh Ṣadūq. Some similar hadiths also have been issued from other Imams (as) with the same theme, which indicates its importance. Understanding the meaning of "iḥyā' amr" in the hadith is the subject of this article. This article has studied the semantics of the mentioned hadith by descriptive-analytical method. By forming a family for hadiths and focusing other traditions that have the same theme, it became clear that the reviving the affair of the Imams (as) is based on learning and teaching their knowledge. The knowledge of the infallible Imams (as) is from God, and there is a ground for accepting it in every human being who has not deviated from the divine nature.
Findings of the research indicate that learning and teaching the sciences and knowledge received from Imams (as) has a fundamental role in the people's following them. Part of the novelty of this article is because of the explanation of the most obvious examples of "iḥyā' amr", which include holding meetings and forming knowledge-raising classes, enjoining good and forbidding evil, and forming a provincial system to achieve justice in all aspects of individual and social life. The actual realization of the reviving the affair of the Imams (as) is in following and obeying them and keeping alive the system of guardianship for coming off the justice and training complete human beings.
