Bada’ (alteration in the divine will) is a prominent Imami theological doctrine signifying God's absolute Lordship and continuous power in managing the universe and renewing destinies. Two closely related Hadiths in Al-Kafi highlight its exalted status: "Mā ʿubid Allāh bi-shayʾin mithl al-Badaʾ" (God is not worshipped by anything like Bada’) and "Mā ʿuẓẓim Allāh bi-mithl al-Badaʾ" (God is not magnified by anything like Bada’). Since their Isnad (transmission chain) and textual validity lack independent investigation, this descriptive-analytical study evaluates them using Rijal (biographical evaluation) and Fiqh al-Hadith (comprehension of Hadith) criteria. Isnad validity was examined through early and later Rijal sources, while textual validity was assessed against the Holy Quran, definitive Sunnah, and explicit rationality, supported by the views of Al-Kafi commentators. Findings indicate that both narrations are authentically transmitted (Sahih). Textually, they align with Quranic verses, the definitive Sunnah, and rational principles. Despite independent transmission chains and phrasing differences, they act as complementary transmissions of a single doctrine. Ultimately, they present Bada’ as the highest manifestation of worship and the most perfect expression of magnifying God, demonstrating its fundamental role in the divine management system.
