Joy and happiness are one of the important categories in human life. If this important matter is placed within the framework of religious praise, it will bring happiness to humans, and if it is of a reprehensible nature, it will cause human misery. The Holy Quran and interpretive narrations have referred to both praiseworthy and blameworthy types of happiness. The aim of this article is to find examples of praiseworthy and blameworthy happiness in authentic interpretive narrations. For this purpose, verses and interpretive narrations were extracted and examined for their evidence and documentary evidence. This article, using an analytical and descriptive method, has examined the significance and authenticity of interpretive narrations on the subject of joy and happiness. The findings of the study showed that the interpretive narrations about praised joy refer to joy in obedience to God, joy in divine grace and mercy, joy in the hereafter, joy in divine blessings, and joy in victory, and about reprehensible joy refer to titles such as joy in sin, joy in futile and fleeting things, joy in mocking others, arrogant joy, and joy in the calamity of believers. The conclusion is that a believer should be careful about the factors of his happiness, strengthen his praiseworthy happiness, and avoid reprehensible happiness
