This study aims to conduct a comparative analysis of the compilation process, structural placement, and chapter-level categorization of narrations concerning the "anticipation of relief" (*intizar al-faraj*) within Sunni and Imami Hadith corpora. Employing a descriptive-analytical methodology—grounded in a historical-comparative approach and utilizing library research—this study’s innovation lies in synthesizing chain-of-transmission (*sanad*) and textual analysis with the theoretical framework of "conceptual history." By distinguishing the context of a narration’s initial issuance from the context of its later compilation and interpretation, the study traces the parallel evolution of these two traditions. The findings indicate that within the Sunni tradition—following the sporadic recording of such narrations during the second and third centuries—the establishment of a dedicated chapter by al-Tirmidhi, and its subsequent inclusion in exegetical and ethical texts, anchored the concept within the framework of patience (*sabr*), contentment (*qana'at*), and reliance upon God (*tawakkul*), without an exclusive link to the doctrine of the Mahdi. Conversely, within the Imami tradition, the developmental trajectory—ranging from the account by al-Bazanti in *Qurb al-Isnad* to the dedicated chapter in al-Nu'mani’s work, the reflection of this shared tradition by Shaykh al-Tusi, and the citation of a *tawqi'* (signed epistle) by Ibn Shahrashub—has explicitly embedded the narration within the structure of its sources, linking it directly to the Occultation (*ghaybah*) and the Reappearance (*zuhur*) of the Qa'im of the Progeny of Muhammad (PBUH).
